The Job/What You’ll Do:
The Quality Assurance leader is a key member of the Information Technology leadership team with specific accountability for ensuring that testing in support of all assigned initiatives is completed with a high level of diligence, fidelity, and adherence to ‘best in industry’ standards and methods.
A successful QA leader will be a good mix of defining a comprehensive end to end QA strategy comprising of Functional as well as Non-Functional aspects. They are responsible for the delivered quality of an application or area domain or functional area. They participate in early requirements gathering, write test strategy and ensure test plans. QA leader will at times individually test functionality but often lead small team of testers locally or remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Strategic design and implementation approach for QA Strategy that effectively builds scale and leverages industry best practices
- Conduct in-depth analysis, and communicate effectively on vision, ideas, and solutions while obtain senior leadership alignment
- Hands on development of automation test cases using Playwright testing framework.
- Own and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy including
- Oversee all tactical aspects of the QA lifecycle (resource and expense management, process refinement, troubleshooting, implementation of tools, and test planning/execution), escalating relevant issues with clarity, and in a timely fashion
- Mature the QA function with effective regression, load and performance test capability, driven by auditable metrics
- Develop strong partnerships across IT and broader organization, establish credibility as an a Leader
- Develop high performing team, focused on timely delivery and creative solutions
- Manage offshore resources, ensuring vendor alignment with company’s strategic goals and interests
- Bring testing philosophy and approach to take QA to ‘next level’ of delivery, with a particular emphasis on performance testing, automation, and data validation
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Experience with Selenium and Cucumber
- Jest, React Testing Library and Postman based testing
- Knowledge of Performance testing methodologies
- Excellent communication skills
Education & Experience:
- 10 years of experience in field,
- Bachelors Degree in Computer science or related Science streams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding in fundamentals ReactJS, SQL and Postgres a plus
- Good understanding of Agile methodology, iterative model, verification, and validation Methodology.
- Hands on experience with Agile testing methodologies and standards
- Exposure to transformation process from waterfall to Agile
